This is my first post so if I'm posting this in the wrong place just tell me where to go and I'll move on over there.

I am a Junior in HS and have recently started my search for colleges. I stumbled upon Belmont and pretty much like what I see from the outside. I am Christian (currently go to christian school so I don't think that it would be much different.) I always hear about Belmont's music program, which is great because I would really like to do music in college, but I don't want to major in it. Are their other programs somewhat thriving? How do they compare to the other schools that I am looking into (Butler University, Luther College, Iowa State, and Iowa?) Any help would be greatly appreciated.

All four universities are better than Belmont for the other programs than music.
If you like Luther, check out Augsburg (it’s in the middle of a cool city), Gustavus Adolphus, Hope, Wheaton (IL), Calvin. Wheaton and Calvin are the most conservative and evangelical, Augsburg and Gustavus are like Luther, and Hope is in-between.

So would you say that Belmont is basically Music and Nursing or nothing? Or just that there are much better options?

No, I wouldn’t say that, but Belmont isn’t as good as the universities you listed for subjects other than Music and could be on par with it for Nursing. So yes if you have better options, look into them. Belmont isn’t a horrible school, it’s just only strong in music, solid in Nursing, and pretty blah in everything else.

I see. Thanks for all of your suggestions! I’ve never heard of Augsburg, I love Minneapolis and it’s close to my family. I’ll have to look into that and Gustavus Adolphus.

If you love the Twin Cities, look into Hamline, St Kate’s (if you’re a girl), St Thomas. Those are fairly easy to get into so if you have decent stats (as your list of colleges seems to suggest), especially if you have high ACT/SAT scores, you would likely get better financial aid.
