I'm still deciding which ones to apply to. These will be my back-up colleges. Give me some information about each campus please! I'm planning to major in General Biology..so tell me if any of those universities have good sciences(of course, not as good as UCSD!). Give me details as much as possible! thanks.

not really.

if you want a good safety, look at texas a and m, it's fun and big with lots of school spirit and people that love it there.

After Cal Poly SLO (which has a great bio program), all Cal States are somewhat comparable, particuarly for biology. Certain campuses have strong specialized programs, such as biz at SDSU.

Are you looking for a commuter campus, like CSULA? If you're looking for more of the traditional residential college experience, there are CSU's that will serve you better.

CSUCI is right near me. It used to be like a crazy hospital. It's also in the middle of farms. It's near the ocean... like a 15 minute drive perhaps. Great psych program.... they might have a good bio program too because some classes overlap. It's a love or hate kind of place. Not a "college town" at all. Personally, I have more respect for CSUCI students than the other CSU's on your list. Most people I know feel that way. They have a lot of ways to fund your education that aren't official... as in you need to research it a bit but they have a TON of free money. They also have many programs where you go there and pay and they pay you back your tuition once you graduate.

There's a long way between UCSD and these CSU's, what about other UC's?

The best ranked CSU is Cal Poly SLO

The better ranked CSU's are Cal State Northridge, Fullerton, Long Beach, San Diego State, and Cal Poly Pomona.

None of these CSU's are very good

I'd look at CSU Monterey, CSU-Stanislaus, CSU-East Bay, CSU-Long Beach, CSU-San Bernandino

Try my school: Cal Poly Pomona! I totally love it here. Chose it over UC Davis and UC Irvine.

i read that CSULA isnt a very good school…I got accepted there but not sure if i want to live by East LA…I applied at CSULB n SDSU n USD but havent heard nething from them
