I talked to several Dartmouth students and read student reviews, and the vast majority of them said that their undergrad experience at Dartmouth was very stressful, unsatisfying, and lacked a lot of the things they were looking for in a good college.

What's going on!? Did I just talk to the wrong people, or are most students really that bitter there?

I personally know 2 girls who love their experience at Dartmouth. Don't believe everything you read online-- sometimes things are posted by students who are not doing well academically, those who might be unhappy where ever they are, or even kids from other colleges.

That's not true! Everybody I know is really happy to be going to Dartmouth! Of course there's a lot of work and there are stressful moments, but I mean, it's college, it's like that anywhere. There are places that are MUCH worse in terms of student happiness. Dartmouth regularly places in the top 5 of the Princeton Review student happiness poll.

what an eventful year
a few bonuses..besides homecoming with bonfire traditions and amazingwinter
carnival there is also green key weekend which was outdoorbands
and barbqs etc..my son totally enjoyed it with the nice weather and woodstock atmosphere...then one more great weekend which is formal weekend just a week before the study time and finals..frats/sor have formals
but also an 08 fomal which was suits (not tuxes)

to all acceptees ..dont worry u made the right choice.!!

Yeah cangel, that's about right. Less time per class = less time for ferment... the stuff that takes place unconsciously in the back of your mind.

i chose dartmouth because everyone was soooo in love with the school. yale was bleh, people said they would like to be other places and basically just went there for the name. princeton, people were way stressed, and it wasn't even exams or anything. dartmouth was great. the people were way more laid back, and everyone seems to be having a great experience. i mean the seniors were complaining they'd have to leave.

I must agree wutg Handson, 95% of the reason I chose Dartmouth was the people. They're just so damn friendly and they make you feel at home so easily. People are laid back and enjoy life Im pretty sure on any given day(except for those harsh winter days...lol) something is going on on the green besides studying. Dartmouth is about is about having a great experience academically and socially, I frankly I absolutely love that about the school. So I can't possibly see why someone could be unhappy, let alone the general population be unhappy. Uhh, I that the ppl you describes obviously werent taking advantage of all that is Dartmouth.

I CAN'T WAIT TILL THIS FALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SOMEONE END THE WAITING
