Are dorms shabby?

<p>Are the dorms at Brown dingy, old, nice, comfortable, uncomfortabble, what? How do they compare to those of other colleges?</p>

<p>Here is the most detailed site about the dorms, see for yourself. Most are pretty nice. Several were used as houses back in the day. The oldest dorm is Hope College built around 1830 I think. Minden Hall for example used to serve as a hotel. They vary but generally they are solid and very liveable (and get better with seniority)</p>
