Are first semester senior year grades considered in admissions?

Hey everybody..

I am currently a second semester senior waiting for admission decisions in April and was wondering what kind of an effect my first semester grades will have on those decisions. The reason why I'm wondering is because my 1st semester jr year grades were pretty bad and pulled down my GPA, but my first semester senior year grades were all A's with a pretty rigorous courseload.. and I am really hoping that those grades are going to be looked at/considered :/

Some people I've asked have said that it varies from school to school, but I was just looking for other input/what I might expect from different schools.

Thanks :)

colleges will see your overall grades up to the end of junior year. so they won’t see first semester junior, just the overall grade.
they will, however, see your mid-year grades for senior year.

superghuman, it depends on the HS and the way that they format the transcript. Many high schools list the semester grades on the transcript.
