Are First Semester Senior Year Grades Really Important?!?

Are they?

My first semester senior year grades are not look so hot right now...~3.67 Weighted SIGNIFICANTLY lower than my cp weighted GPA. It's not necessarily because I'm lazy but because I am taking 5 AP classes.

3.67 is the absolute worst I will get. I am trying to improve my GPA the best I can, but in the worst case situation I get a 3.67, am I screwed for the top colleges I am applying to like Cornell-ILR?

If you don’t get into a school ED, then yes, first semester grades are important- the adcoms will see them, just like the rest of your transcript. If you applied and got in ED, then a little downward trend won’t hurt.

urgh anything bellow 3.8ish is gonna hurt for Ivies. Academic record is the most important factor ever.

Anyone else’s thoughts?
