are guys not above it?

I gave one of my guy friends a ride today, and he recently broke up wi/ his gf...he spent much of the trip, both ways, referencing her, and, completely unprompted, he commented that he needed to find a new date to the Sweethearts Dance.

I know we girls are constantly guilty and endlessy skilled in the dept. of dropping hints, but I've always wondered, are guys above dropping hints or no?

no, they are not above dropping hints. If anything, they're too dense themselves to realise they're dropping hints since they never seem to catch them to begin with when girls are dropping them.

No, we are not.

I think we are better than that.

shy guys do that. hopelessly inlove guys do that. unrequited love makes them do that. plain denseness doesn't make them realize they do that. desperation makes them do that. yep, they are sometimes like that.

See being a guy myself. I try to drop hints but I have fun with this girl I hang out with now so we drop really obvious hints. But in other cases, both guys and girls drop plenty of hints. Girls drop them, but sometimes it is hard to tell if the girl is just being girly or flirty or is dropping real hints. Guys on the other hand are, yes, very dense. They can drop hints and not pick up the hints of others. But a guys hint is much more simple cause they almost all mean I want to get in your pants, lol. But in all seriousness guys who drop hints are usually just shy about it or really like the person. But that's just me and my opinion.

If you like someone, just go up to her like a man and tell her that.

There should not be hints or whatever....

So true, but it ain't always that easy, actually most of the time it isn't that easy.

thanks for the answers, everyone :)

guess I'll find out what he meant sooner or later
