Are Hitch suites bad for freshmen?

So I have been accepted into a Hitch suite in a triple room as an incoming freshman to UCLA. Let me just say that this was not my first choice in room, and was actually near the bottom of my list. I’ve heard from a couple other people that Hitch suites are mainly for non-freshmen, and they just put freshmen in to fill empty spots. Is this true? Because I do not desire to be put into a suite for a year with a bunch of people who are older than me.
Also, is it hard to switch housing at UCLA? And if not, how would I go about doing that?
This decision is actually quite important to me, because I am wavering between UCLA and UC Berkeley, as I just got admitted from the waitlist. At this point, I am willing to switch to UC Berkeley based off of my ability to get my desired housing at UCLA, because I am so stuck in this decision.
Any advice is appreciated
