I am from Lebanon (lived in the US for 3 years), and I was wondering if internships abroad are just as good/better than internships in the United States. My parents and uncles know a few well-known doctors that I could intern with. Also, there aren't legal laws prohibiting me from actually dealing directly with patients (in many ways that the doctor normally would). I feel I could get a better "hands-on" experience.
I'm not too familiar as to how all this works, as I am currently a first semester freshman, so please be patient with me! I would appreciate any information/corrections/clarifications.

Thanks.
