Your credentials are pretty good except for your GPA. I agree that being a URM will help, but you have to realize that there will still be many URMs will better scores and better GPAs. I think you have a shot (everyone technically does), but the GPA will definitely hurt.

Same as everybody said, GPA is on the low side, everything else is strong. Not sure the level of difficulty which would effect how bad the GPA looks, ivies will be a reach, the hardest ones to get into (Harvard/Yale) are probably unrealistic.

The level of difficulty is pretty high. As a senior, I’ll have 6 APs and a combined 9 between my soph and junior years; not to mention honors courses.

Would anyone know which ivies put less import in gpa? I know they all highly value it, but are there any that I may have a better chance of getting into?

What’s your rank or estimated percentile? Also, your ECs are pretty weak. Your ACT and URM status helps so give them a try. But if your Rank is outside top decile and you have no stronger ECs, you could be out.

You should apply to as many as to can!you really have good chance to get in at least one ivies!you URM status is a definitely a plus! Good luck to you!

Divy, my school doesn’t rank and I don’t think that my school reports deciles and stuff.

Also, I agree-- my ECs are pretty weak. I am involved in more than what I listed, it’s just that my other ECs are so generic and I don’t hold leadership positions in them.
