Any chance for ivies/top schools?

Hey,

I just finished my junior year of high school, and I really want to know if I have any chance at getting into a top school/Ivy league school. What are my chances of getting in with these numbers? I know that they are all probably far reaches.

North Carolina Resident
GPA UW: 3.88 (By the time my first semester of senior year is finished, it should be 3.9+)
GPA W (out of 5.0): 4.5 (Should be 4.6+ by end of first semester senior yr)
SAT: 1450 (out of 1600)
I am top 10% of my class, if that matters
Clubs:
NHS
NTHS
Rhoe Kappa
Mu Alpha Theta
FBLA
HOSA
Health Sciences Academy
Volunteer hours: around 200
Sports: Track and field + lacrosse
I will most likely get some good letters of recommendation from the teachers I plan to ask.

Please let me know if you think I will get into this college (don’t sugarcoat)
Thanks in advance to anyone replying! Let me know if I need to add anything else that will factor into the application process (other than essays, etc).

If you’re looking at the top schools, you’ll need good subject test scores as well (I don’t know if you’ve taken any yet). The SAT is too low for Ivies, so if you have time, definitely retake that or take the ACT instead. Personally, I found the ACT much easier. ECs look fine, so don’t worry there. GPA is also pretty good. So overall, get your SAT score up and get good subject test scores and you should be good to go. Good luck!

I think you’ll need to get your SAT score above 1500 in order to be competitive. That is, unless you’re an underrepresented minority (URM), a 1st generation college student, a recruited athlete, or a legacy. I can’t tell by your EC’s if you’ve had leadership roles but if so, that would helpful. Have you taken AP or IB courses? And have you taken any AP exams? If you apply to the ivies, you’ll definitely want to focus on writing a truly superb essay. Best of luck!
