Right now, I get all A's in my semester average core classes, but there not very high A's.

1st Semester
English: 90
Algebra II: 94
Chemistry: 92
World History:93

2nd Semester
English: 90
Algebra II: 95
Chemistry: 93
World History: 94

Those are PreAP/honors classes. SO mainly I was wondering if a college (Ivy league especially) would care if I got a 99 or a 90, or even if they would consider a 93 and a 99 a major difference.

You are fine. I got plenty of Bs in high school and still got into Swarthmore and many other good schools. Didn’t apply to ivy league though. My sister goes to Columbia and definitely got some Bs as well.

quick question, would 4 C’s out of 36 classes(from freshman to junior year) taken during my high school career look bad for ivy leagues? Some people get disgusted when they look at my grades just because of those 4 C’s. Are they really that bad?

They aren’t “extermely picky,” but a 90 obviously doesn’t look quite as good as a 99, all other things kept equal. GPA and class rank tend to be more telling. But it isn’t a death knell to have low A’s. You can still get into competitive colleges assuming the rest of your package is stellar (which goes for anyone with grades along any spectrum of A’s).

4 C’s do not look good. You would probably need all of your other grades to be exceptional with very good reasons for those C’s, or they’d have to be earlier in your high school career. It would be disingenuous to say that 4 C’s wouldn’t make any Ivy League adcom wonder if you’re an academic fit.
