<p>That's really great. More schools in more states, and even in more countries, should do that. A lot of school systems are seriously lacking (I'm in Ontario, Canada, and they're considering removing calculus from the curriculum... Don't even get me started on that one).</p>
<p>One bad thing though, is that if we take an AP class but decide not to take the test, we have to pay $93 for not doing so (which involves the exam fee and a return fee).</p>
<p>Florida AP exams are free in order to encourage greater participation in AP exams, especially by URMs and people who cannot afford to pay the exams fees.</p>
<p>I have to pay $94 per exam, and I'm taking 4...so that's, well, a lot of money in total. $376 to be exact. And I'm from Connecticut. I mean, I guess I'm not too surprised, though.</p>
