I understand that colleges look greatly on the rigor of your course; are my options not rigorous enough to compete at top universities?

I am an international student btw, and I am half Japanese.

Economics HL
Physics HL
Japanese HL
Maths SL
English Literature SL
Philosophy SL

I am worried about my Japanese HL option, will it be seen to be to easy, as I am half Japanese (my nationality is Japanese) and semi fluent at it?

Languages are usually considered, among IB students, to be the easiest to take at HL. Of the social sciences, economics is usually considered, again among IB students, to be the easiest. However, these courses do not necessarily mean that colleges will think that your course load is not rigorous. Any IB class is demanding enough. I would take advantage that you are taking very slightly easier courses and do very well in them.

P.S. HL Physics is a very demanding class
