I just got my score report for the SAT Subject Tests that I took on June 7th. I got a 740 on the Chemistry exam and a 710 on the Math Level 1 test. The data that collegeboard has provided doesn't really give me a clear idea of what a "good" score is. I'm not looking to pursue a career in science or mathematics, but will my scores satisfy the requirements of selective schools like Dartmouth and Johns Hopkins?

700+ is generally considered good, think of it as the 2200/30s of the subject test. Feel free to retake them, but honestly I see no need. I recommend taking Math Level 2 tho since it has a nicer curve if you feel like giving up another Saturday.

Definitely take math 2.

For schools of the caliber you mentioned, definitely take Math 2.
