Not so good SAT Subject Test score for very good schools

Hello

I recently took a few SAT Subject Tests because they were required for admission at two schools that I applied to; however, I would like to send scores to other schools.

I received a 780 on chemistry and a 700 on Math II.

I would like to send scores to Northwestern, Notre Dame, Vanderbilt, UPenn, and UNC-Chapel Hill. They do not require the scores, but they consider them.

Should I only send the 780? I know schools like to see two scores, but that 700 is just so bad.

Thanks so much!

By the way, my major is chemistry. So it might seem more reasonable that a chemistry major would only take the chemistry subject test.

Send both of them.

Is there any specific reason why both should be sent?

Because they’re good scores. 700 is fine.

700+ is good, regardless of what people might tell you on CC. This place is flooded with high achievers.

Put it this way, the 700 on math 2 won’t be the deciding factor if you don’t happen to get in. Your SAT1/ACT, GPA, ECs, extracurriculars, recommendations- those will carry more weight than a 700 on math 2. You don’t have to send it since it is optional but I would because it doesn’t hurt you and it gives the adcoms more information since a 700 is perfectly acceptable.

Thank you all for your comments! It made this decision very easy.
