Are physics 1301 and 1301w the same course?

sorry if this question is dumb and should be obvious, but im currently in ap physics c (just finished mechanics and starting e&m) and i was wondering if there is a difference between physics 1301 and 1301w (and also 1302 and 1302w). the reason i ask is because minnesota says i can test out of physics 1301 and 1302 with a 3+ on the ap test (Advanced Placement Course Awards), but for chemical engineering, i have to take 1301w and 1302w (<a href="http://www.cems.umn.edu/downloads/ug/ChEn/typ_plan_post_2011.pdf%5B/url%5D">http://www.cems.umn.edu/downloads/ug/ChEn/typ_plan_post_2011.pdf</a>). another main reason i ask is because for calc bc, i will test out of math 1272, but for chemical engineering i need to take math 1372. thank you for any replies!

Physics 1301 or 1302 don’t exist - only 1301w and 1302w.
And yes, a passing score on AP Physics C will count for 1301w.

As for calc. The BC test is like going through calc 1 and calc 2.
1272 is the CLA version of calc 2, where as 1372 is the CSE version.
They are slightly different, but either way you get the credit for calc 2.
So getting credit for 1272 instead of 1372 is just fine.
