are PR's scores realistic?

Hi! just want to ask you...what do you think abot the scores from the PR tests?...Are they realistic? I mean...I've done some tests from The Official SAT Study Guide...and I got about 630 at the CR section(I know...I suck!)..but then again...at today's test from the PR book..I got a 690... which means improvement....but I still got many questions wrong...and I was wondering...what should I consider to be my true score?

I would take a few more practice tests and then try to find the average, simply because either one of those scores could be a fluke. I'm sort of in the same boat as you for the CR, I've been anywhere from 690 to 760 (on the PR tests). As far as their accuracy, I used them to study for the math section before the March SAT, and I had been in the lower 700s on all my practice tests, but I went up to 760 on the real thing, so I'm hoping the same thing happens in the CR this time...

PR im told is harder than the exam

I don't think so... I usually got like 33 on my PR's ACT math test, but on actual test, I got 29. In fact, I always scored at least 26 on my PR's ACT English, but I actually got 19 on April test!! I have no idea what happened... so I think PR is not accurate...

Although this is a personal case, you be the judge:

PR Test #1: Math - 700, CR - 580, Writing - 590, Essay - 7
PR Test #2: Math - 670, CR - 570, Writing - 650, Essay - 10
PR Test #3: Math - 650, CR - 610, Writing - 690, Essay - 11
PR Test #4: Math - 720, CR - 590, Writing - 680, Essay - 9

Actual SAT: Math - 690, CR - 700, Writing - 720, Essay - 11

Well, what's even more surprising is that from that last PR diagnostic to the actual test, there was a seven-month gap.

In terms of true score, I'd definitely go with College Board's "The Official Study Guide for the New SAT." As for the PR book score, if it's "11 Practice Tests for the New SAT," then I'm pretty sure the curve is too generous. Even PR acknowledged that. You could probably look around or ask around for what the approximate curve was for the March SAT. If it isn't that PR book, the curves for the tests are probably still too generous.

I hope this helps.

PR is weird...i only took one practice test and got like a 2090 and then took the real thing and got 2340...go figure. But i have to consider that my proctor was a complete idiot and messed up the times so i didn't finish some of the writing section.

My PR practice test i took a few days before the exam I got a 750 CR, on the exam and on most of my CB tests i got 650...

so we agree to disagree

I asked this becuse although CB's test(from its guide) has 2 more questions....with the numeber I got wrong on te PR test...I still wouldn't have got a 640(at the test in CB's guide)....and with the PR's scores I got a 690....Oh! I'm so confused.... that last score did really give me hope....there are only two weeks till the exam(of course I can take it again in fall....but I really wish I could do fine just now)...hmm..thanks for answering me anyway...
