PR 11 practice tests

Hey i started with a 1900 from the actual test. Then I buckled down to do some hardwork to improve my score. I would get around 1950 - 2000 in the CB Blue book. After 5 BB practice tests I started PR. Is it abnormal for me to have scored 1980 on the first PR and then drastically having improvements throughout? Ive gone up to 2100 with my 4th one and 2070 with my 3rd one.
How reliable is PR? Somebody please evaluate if each section is harder or easier than the actual tests and how many points I should add or reduce to gain an accurate image of my score. Was my score increase because I did the 5 BB tests then 4 PR tests (BTW i used barrons 2400 writing section when i switched books). Thank you

same thing happened to me with the PR practice tests!! but i dont know the answer since i havent taken the actual SAT yet :(

While I’m not sure this is completely relevant to your situation & I can’t give you an estimate on points from the practice tests to the real ones, I can say that for the most part (excluding the math section, which I thought was more or less the same on the PR practice & the real SAT) the PR practice tests are much more difficult than the real thing. While my score did increase slightly with every PR practice test I took (3 in total by the end of the course), they were much lower than my real SAT scores.

With the PR practice tests, I could never exceed a 1700. On the real SAT, I got a 2100. Although this certainly doesn’t apply to everyone, the PR practice tests are designed to be more challenging than the real thing. Practicing with more difficult questions prepares you for a more difficult test, and the mere fact that you are actually practicing almost ensures a better score on the real SAT!

As long as you keep studying, you’re bound to do great! good luck :)

I think the math and CR sections in the PR practice tests are harder than the actual SAT, but the writing section is a lot easier.
