I see this forum has lots of overachievers, I however am not one of them. I am stupid.

I got a 150 range PSAT score, where I scored 90% on math, and 40% compared to other juniors.

But would I have had a higher score if the PSAT also had the essay writing that the SAT has? So generally, wouldn't SAT scores be greater than PSAT scores by possibly 100+ points?

It really depends on the circumstances whether your SAT score will turn out higher than your PSAT score. If you write strong essays, and think that it will raise your score, you might be correct. However, for other people this might not be the case. They might be exceptional at finding grammatical errors, but not writing essays while under pressure. Also, because the length of the test is longer, it is more of an endurance test than the PSAT. Also, the math part is more difficult. If you think that these factors will most likely benefit your score, then good for you, you will probably see an increase in score. However, if you find that these might create problems for you, studying wouldn't be too bad of an idea.
