Are SAT2's and AP's different?

"Happy" new year guys! (espacially for upcoming seniors! Cheers!)

I just took SAT world history and am planning on self studying AP world history test. I am also considering taking all AP/SAT chemistry, AP/SAT US history.

Do they look good together in the application?
And are they very different? I mean, I got 800 in SAT world history. Do I need to study for AP test separately? Do they cover lots of different things?

Are the formats very different? I really have no idea what AP test's looks like. Please help. Thank you very much.

AP exams include multiple choice questions and free-response questions (FRQs). FRQs are typically answered in essay format, so yes, it'd be best if you study for your APs.

I'd study for AP so that way you're studying for the free response/essays and then you'll be set for the SATs!
