Are the Khan Academy SAT practice tests good prep?

DS plans to take the August SAT and is planning to take several of the Khan Academy practice tests. We looked around for actual “new SAT” tests and only found the April 2017 exam which he will take. Has anyone used the Khan Academy tests and do you think they were worthwhile?

Thanks

The 8 practice test at Khan Academy are the same 8 tests from the College Board website. Tests #5-8 are actual prior administrations of the New SAT, with #8 having been administered in January 2017.

If you are looking for more practice tests, there are some QAS copies floating around the internet, including that April 2017 test, but also at least four others that are much more recent (there is a list at reddit).

@evergreen5 thanks so much, I will look for the others

My tutor put me on Kaplan once I plateau in the 1450 range during practice. The questions were did not mirror the actual test, but made me dig deeper into the problems. I started seeing improvements into the last and toughest 100-150 points.

Good luck.

@Kadel1023 did you mean Kaplan or Khan?

I was on the kaplan book.

We worked on alot of math problems, where I was a bit weaker than R&W. I was surprised to hit 770 on my SAT.

Khan academy are pretty good as they are in partnership with the college board so their tests are to be trusted
