<p>right now, this is the deciding factor for applying early decision. i love everything about the school.</p>

<p>i'm just really worried that everyone here will be really pretentious and competitive and snobby. i have a few friends who go here and they're all kind of...</p>

<p>is that the norm or is the environment very relaxed and friendly? because that's something i really want in a school. i want to make a lot of friends in college.</p>

<p>Competitive in a non-confrontational way. I made lots of friends, never felt as if the competition was in my face. Go for it. I had a great four years as a Quaker. </p>

<p>Don't know how to answer the "relaxed" question.</p>

<p>With a diverse population of almost 10,000 undergrads, you should have no problem finding plenty of people with whom you'll feel comfortable.</p>
