<p>Can I send the the transcripts via commonapp?</p>
<p>Your counselor does that so it is official. They upload it along with the school reports and counselor rec and the schools will download it.</p>
<p>But can I do it on my own??</p>
<p>Can you physically do it? You only have access to the additional info section for uploads which is not where the transcript goes. </p>
<p>Since it has to be an official transcript sent by your counselor, why would you want to?</p>
<p>I’m actually facing the same problem as BallsBalls. My school doesn’t have a counselor so my headteacher’s filling in as one, and she’s not particularly keen on the paperwork. (I’m an international student)</p>
<p>Sending it by mail is a huge hurdle, and frankly I’m really worried if it’ll reach the unis in time too. That’s why I’m trying to figure a way around the situation myself.</p>
<p>Got any ideas, anyone?</p>
<p>@leo118 you know you have to translate the transcripts before sending them right?? And did you figure out how to answer the part in the application that asks for the name and number…etc of the counselor

<p>Colleges ask for a counselor rec along with teacher recs. So who ever is filling in for the role of counselor rec would be the person to upload your transcript. </p>
<p>I believe high schools sign up to be able to use the common ap for their students and they are given then the access inside. You need to find out who in your school is the one to do this. </p>
<p>I believe that when you put in the name and email address of who ever you designate as the counselor then the counselor has access to your common app application so they can upload not just your transcript but the mid year and end of year reports. All have to be sent so it makes sense to find out how to make this process happen.</p>
<p>Is there one computer able person who works at your school who would then be the one to help?</p>
<p>I agree with Lakemom, its exactly what I did. I just requested my head teacher, and thankfully, she agreed. </p>
<p>Ask a school official, or teacher (i’d keep a teacher as a last choice, unis clearly prefer school officials like perhaps ur vice-principal, principal, Headteacher, someone from the senior administration- provided they know you).</p>
<p>If, however, you’re unable to find yourself a counselor, I suggest you contact the unis ur applying to directly and let them know your situation. Better hurry though, deadlines are right around the corner!</p>

<p>Ok, Thanks but I just talked to the principle today and from the looks of things I believe she doesn’t know squat and I’m pretty sure they wouldn’t know how to use commonapp and don’t know even what commonapp is !! so what do I do now I have everything ready except for the school-dependent part which requires the transcripts</p>
<p>and I still have to translate the grade 9 transcript so I need immediate help because I don’t have much time</p>
<p>About translating- you need an official translator…do you know translators, or some kind of agency or something that does work in translations? Like here where I live, we need to get official documents translated for visas and stuff- so those are the ppl I would’ve gone to if I needed this kind of job done. Other than that, I have no idea about how to get stuff translated.</p>
<p>And- about getting the school forms filled in by your principal. How about you just send the forms by mail? Print out the school forms from the common app and get your principal or anyone who can fill them out in English to do so, and then just mail them along with photocopies of transcripts.</p>
<p>Other than that, I strongly suggest you directly contact the unis yourself- preferrably by phone. </p>

(International School Supplement to the School Report Only), let the principle fill it attach to it the transcripts by a stapler then put it in a stamped envelope and mail it</p>
<p>And repeat the above process for each uni</p>
