so i've read lots of stories + seen lots of pics of seagulls stealing food from people. plus there was that seagull in britain that stole doritos from a store.

but none of the seagulls in my area are aggressive at all. they have a moderate "flight zone" for birds at least (generally Anseriformes have the smallest "flight zones", almost to the point that they'll only flee if you try to pet them, while corvids and seagulls have larger ones. the small birds dont even seem to notice that you're there, but they'll flee if you get moderately close).

anyways, where do you live and are the seagulls in your area aggressive?

Not aggressive at all. Over the summer we have contests to try to catch them. One kid actually did it by digging a hole at a beach, sitting in the hole, and putting a blanket covered in potato chips over the hole. This is the only time anyone has ever succeeded, but is is considered cheating because you are supposed to catch them with you bare hands.

Do seagulls carry any diseases that you could contract from bites or scratches?
