I basically want to know about any opportunities that are there, getting selected or winning in which would be helpful to get into a top college like stanford or harvard or mit etc.

Are there any science fairs, camps etc? I already know about isef and science olympiads.

may be there are some competitions organized by the colleges themselves?( like stanford has SUMaC for math)

Find something you love, and do it like no one’s ever done it before.

I can guarantee that if you take that advice, the opportunities will present themselves.

Wow, this is a question the sort of kids who fit at a SHM don’t generally need to ask.
-ok, I see you are international. But, getting in is not exclusively about fancy contests. It’s about a pattern of challenges, engagements, commitments and personal qualities, on top of stats and rigor. There’s an old H post that takes aim at this notion of discovering and throwing yourself into this “formula.”
