I am strongly considering to apply in colleges in the US but since it is quite difficult to get in the most of them I would like to know if science competitions are going to help me.

What I have achieved so far is:
-Participation in the greek math Olympiad for 3 years.
-14th in three greek physics Olympiad competing with students 2 years older than me.
-First in the selection of EUSO team on my town.

So far none of the above have been completed for this year and it is very probable that I'll be better on the physics competition and I may go to the IPhO.

Are these going to be of any help on my application?

Yes, those are MAJOR “helps”. In fact, that’s what top schools want to see from international applicants, all other things being equal (ie., assuming you have good grades and can get good scores).

Are you a junior (will be applying for Fall 2015) or are you a senior (applying for Fall 2014)?
if you"re a Senior, you only have FIVE DAYS before many school deadlines!
Do you have a TOEFL score, SAT scores, etc? If not, take a gap year to apply for Fall 2015.
With this record, I assume you’d be applying to MIT, CalTech, Stanford, Olin, etc. plus a handful of tech schools and LACs strong in your subjects.

Thanks for your reply!First off all I am a Junior of course. I have a GPA of 19/20 but this year it will be greater. Also I will sit for the SAT I’s and Math II - Physics (and maybe Chemistry) this June. I don’t think that TOEFL will be difficult since I have CPE and ECPE.

Unfortunately I am in need of financial aid and I will only apply to colleges that I can attend with about $10,000 or something like that.
