<p>The eating clubs are a "pervasive" part of Princeton social life precisely because the majority of them are non-exclusive. It would be rather difficult for a large percentage of Harvard students to be part of finals clubs given that one needs to be nominated for consideration and then approved to be accepted into any of them. Clearly, the more elitist a system is, the fewer people it will include.</p>
<p>wow thanks for all the replies guys. Byerly, I would disagree with you on the point of looking at schools based on social life. I think that location is a huge part of the college experience and opens you up to a lot of different things. I personally have some really personal criteria such as my dream school should have dance clubs nearby. It also wouldn't hurt to have a good football team, so I think Upenn and Harvard fall under those categories.</p>
