Because I really want to see exactly how the admissions officers from different colleges go about accepting/rejecting students. I want to see them discussing several applicants and discussing why they made their particular decision with regards to that student. Don't you?

There was one on PBS. I don't think it's fully representative of the process at all colleges.

Read "On Writing the College Application Essay" by Harry Bauld.

i feel you brah.

lol look up "Whiteman College" on youtube

Search the PBS website for "Amherst admissions" - that's the one tokenadult mentions.

I also recommend the book "The Gatekeepers" by Jacques Steinberg which describes the admission process at Wesleyan University.

I second the Gatekeepers rec. It's pretty readable, especially if you're curious about the process (I know I was). Although, it's kind of outdated, even though it was only written around 2002. You can tell, though, because they still consider Asian a minority when going through the apps >_>

So on that PBS documentary, I don't trust it. The people talking at the table never mention or even recognize difficulty of courseload--instead of distinguishing between regular, honors, and AP, they just say like "Math". lol.
