Are there any EASY majors to get into?

In "top tier" schools, are any majors easier to get into than others?

For example, would a weird major such as Slavic language and literature or Gender studies or even Undecided... be easier to get into than a major such as biology or biomedical engineering??

Do some applicants use this strategy to get into their top pick schools and then switch majors once in??
Does this strategy work?
Is it ethical for students to be doing this?

Just curious of your opinions.

The general consensus seems to be that the major you put down isn’t going to affect your application, unless of course you’re applying to a specific program like engineering or nursing, in which case you shouldn’t put down something else because it could be very difficult to then transfer into that major.

I don’t think it would be beneficial to apply to an obscure major because, as I read somewhere, if one of their majors is particularly popular, they’ll have more resources to support the program and want more students in it because its so strong.
