Are there ANY good colleges for Accounting in NEW JERSEY?

Currently, in fourth semester of community college. Will transfer with ~68 credits with a 3.9 GPA. Graduated HS two years ago, top 5% of class. Looking to transfer in-state safety schools for accounting.

I already applied to Rutgers NB RBS for Fall 2015.

But, is Rowan University a decent choice? I’m not looking to spend 40,000$ a year to Temple or Penn State since I’m a transfer and won’t get much aid.

I plan to earn a Bachelor’s in Accounting, then go to a Master’s program and pass the CPA exam.

http://www.aacsb.edu/en/accreditation/accredited-members/global-listing.aspx?F_Country=UNITED+STATES&F_State=NJ lists a 12 schools with AACSB accreditation for business, 2 of which have AACSB accreditation for accounting.

Out of the list posted above, The College of New Jersey, Ramapo, and Rutgers are all highly regarded schools and may be worth checking out. Look into all 12 of them to find which one is the best fit for you.

Rider was always known for accounting.

You would be a fool to not go to rutgers. I has one of best business schools and it’s not super expensive

@jaepari Rutgers is my absolute dream school, I would be absolutely devastated if I didn’t get in (I don’t know how that would happen, its really nerve wracking). I applied for Fall 2015, but as good as my stats are, I’m not guaranteed admission (no one is). These next few weeks or months are probably going to be the most stressful ever.

Thank you for the great replies everyone, getting general knowledge is always a great thing.

the #1 ranked buisness school in NJ is TCNJ as ranked by Bloomberg. It is also 63rd overall in the country.
It’s accounting program was also just ranked #20 in the entire country . Sorry Rutgers lovers but TCNJ is way
more prestigous and higher ranked. Rutgers #128.

Did you apply to TCNJ?

TCNJ is far better than Rutgers. Rutgers isn’t super. It’s okay academically. Really, you’re best off at TCNJ. One of the top three schools in the state (the others being Princeton [obviously] and Stevens Institute of Technology).
