Are there any Lincoln Center Honor students willing to answer some ??s

I read on the honors program website that incoming freshman are invited to join the honors program in the spring before thier first semester.

My d is seriously considering attending this fall and we were wondering when she would know if she would be hearing soon about it or perhaps she was not selected?

She is a strong student and all the colleges invited her to honor programs but we did not hear from Fordham.

Do you remember if the invite came in the acceptance pkg or at a later time?

And maybe you could tell us a bit about your experience w/ the program?

Thanks

Fordham's Honors Program is significantly smaller than those offered at other 'comparable' institutions. Fordham takes the concept of an Honors program very seriously so I believe only the top 2-3% of admits may have the opportunity offered to them during the admission process. The program is not merely used as a yield tool (perhaps it should be)!

There are some possibilities of joining the program after a student enrolls if space becomes available or after achieving at a remarkable level once arriving on campus. I would certainly inquire with the admissions office but understand the difference here between Fordham and the other schools your daughter may be considering.

I'll call the Admissions office....I don't think she is in the top 2-3% of the applicanr pool.......but I'll ask about it.

just to put things into perspective here, the following is a link to a photo of Alpha House which is where the honor students congregate and may take classes, although I'm not certain:

it's tiny, that's how few honor students there are here.
