I'm wondering how one gets into the honors college at Rose Hill. I couldn't find anything on the website about it.

Thanks!

you have to be at the top of the applicant pool, meaning you need stellar SAT scores and GPA

Specifically concerning the Honors Program at Fordham College Rose Hill, this is what I know:

The folks at the admissions dept select out what they feel are the top applicants in the pool that are being offered acceptances (usually 100-200 total). The folders of these individuals are forwarded to the Honors Program. The program's staff and the professors that teach the Honor's courses then read through all of these applicants to select out what will hopefully be an Honors class of about 25 students (this year's freshmen had 36 selected and 35 accepted).

Notice of an offer to be in the Honor's Program starts getting mailed out in mid Feb.

Hope this helps.

Daughter received Lincoln Center Honors Program invitation a few days ago. They aim for 16 students at Lincoln Center. Sounds like a real honors colleges instead of just a title. Anybody have any feedback on Fordham's honors program at Lincoln Center?

I'm currently a freshman in the honors program at the lc campus

Essentially, we take a good portion of our core together, with a few options (i.e. choose natural science or calculus). Also, our core requirements are smaller than the rest of the freshman so we can take a few electives ahead of time. The honors classes are held in the same room and has computers (with free printing!) there are some other perks like free museum passes and a few outings with the rest of the honors program that fordham pays for. They attempt to room the honors kids together if they are in the residence hall, but I ended up without any roommates in the program.

Overall, a good experience.
