Are there any lucrative careers in medicine that DON'T involve blood?

This past year I've volunteered at a hospital in my town, and while I'm not a 100% sure, I'm really interested in a career in medicine. I like helping others, making a difference, and I just liked the hospital environment in general. However, I am very squeamish when it comes to blood, cutting up people, surgeries, etc. I know surgeons are the ones that mainly deal with blood, but don't most jobs in the medical field require seeing blood and stuff to some degree? Are there any other medical careers that don't involve blood, like anasthesiologists?

no, in your training you will have to deal with blood, pus, excrement, and all other secretions. you’re going to have to cowboy up.

Fields that probably have minimal blood involvement are psychiatry, neurology, family medicine, PM&R, radiology, and derm. Hopefully, doing an IV wouldn’t be too big of deal. Anesthesiology will involve more blood than you may want.

You’ll be surprised how desensitized you become as you go through med school.

Blood will be the least of your worries.

You’ll definetly get used to it. There are many people who were like you before medical school but when they graduate, blood is not Somethin to worry about
