I am currently an undergrad student at Iowa State in Ames, IA. I feel I would like attend med school, but not quite sure I am cut out for the whole doctor gig. I don't really mind blood, but having to deal with all of the daily stress and bustle of day-to-day procedures isn't really my thing. Are there any jobs in the medical field thay aren't clinically-related? I understand reseatch and things like that, but anything else?

you definitely don’t need an MD for medical billing

Radiology is a very competitive specialty and going to medical school in no way guarantees it would happen.

You certainly couldn’t convey this attitude on your application but it honestly sounds like you just don’t really get what doctors do. Some specialties are very low on procedures (e.g. psych) while the surgical ones are obviously very heavy on them.

I guess you could go into some sort of consulting but honestly it sounds like you probably just shouldn’t go to med school. Maybe be a pharm rep or something?
