<p>MIT, in particular, has long had an unercurrent of students who apply their skills to gambling as a hobby -- or more. There's a recent book (can't remember the name) that details a group of MIT students who made a ton of money by working on and applying gaming statistics.</p>
<p>Not about gambling but gaming. Today's NYT has an article about videogaming courses becoming hot on some campuses.</p>

<p>There are programs in casino management. Tulane was offering them at their branch campus on the Mississippi gulf coast prior to the hurricane. I'm not sure what their status or that branch's status is now.</p>
