confused

i wanted to know if billiards and snooker are counted as an extra cirricular activity?????

If you are really good, it can be a way to pay for your education.

thank you…:)…i play on a proffesional basis…

by " pay for education" do u mean like a billiards scholarship or something??? ( do they even have those )…??? or like play for money???

There may be billiards scholarships out there. I’d look into them. They’re not offered by MIT, though - MIT is need-based only. But you can use scholarship towards your MIT tuition.

OperaDad may have meant through gambling  But apologies if I misunderstood! There are probably scholarships for that stuff, but they may not be sizable enough to pay the bill for a college.

^ That works, too :stuck_out_tongue: Just don’t ever gamble more than you can afford to lose.

There are a lot of niche scholarships, so no harm looking.

Gambling or competitions, whatever floats your boat. Cash can be easily used at any college to pay tuition and fees.

true…it wouldnt be a bad idea…easy money…;)

but it is still an extra cirricular activity???right???

Do you participate in a league, or play on a regular schedule? When you say professional, are you supporting yourself - because then it’s a job or profession, no extra curricular.

well i play on a state and national level…i dont make money out of it… not a cent…

I put it in the class of athletic abilities that are not a sport the school offers. What if you were a ranked amateur NASCAR driver? Or a sail boat racer (whatever they are called)? Or climbed Mt Everest at the age of 18?

yeah…its something i do on my own… externally…
