I just committed to neu and ik it may seem stupid but im concerned about the party scene. From what I’ve read and heard, northeastern kids dont party a lot. I was really hoping to be able to party in college since i go to a high school where there are literally no parties. I’m hearing mixed things and just want to know the truth. I really dont want to end up being bored and running out of things to do in college like i did in high school.
Nope. No parties. You will run out of things to do in college.
Lol. Yes, of course there are parties. Dorms and apartments are of course where they are held, so they aren’t usually more than 20-30 people per party, which I think is nice because you get to talk with people more in depth rather than a huge kegger at a frat house. You can pretty much find a party every weekend if you’ve got a decent number of friends, though that’s a bit much for me.
I’d say personally I got to some sort of apartment party at least once a month, if not more.
You’re also going to school in Boston, which will give you a ton to do.
Deep breath, relax.
“Are there parties at northeastern university?”
Are there college students at northeastern university?
(same answer to both questions)
“which I think is nice because you get to talk with people more in depth rather than a huge kegger at a frat house”
which is available within a 5 mile radius if want to do that at MIT, Harvard, BU, etc…
I was in a group that threw parties. thought there was a good party environment (good Not great), in the fall especially. A lot of freshmans travel in packs go MIT and Mission Hill so really recommend meeting as much peers as possible. Apartment parties are common as pengsphils mention. are a good way to meet other classmates. MIT and BU throw ragers a lot and are more open with their parties. Lines for MIT parties can be long and doesn’t guarantee that you will get in…
The party scene at NOrtheastern are usually thrown by Greeks, athletes and after school clubs, however you need to know someone or in a group … Biggest parties I encountered were at MIT (300-400 people) but at NOrtheasteen I seen some as big as 150-200 especially during fall except would recommend/need to bring a decent ratio of girls… (honest)
Our ragers are better than Suffolk, college of the fenways, university mass of Boston but not like MIT… they are in a new level
All of the above. BUT, it is definitely NOT a party school, if that is what you are asking. Also, as per above, BU seems to have more parties.
