Hey, I am a rising senior who is thinking about the classes for next year. Here is what I want to take:
AP Calculus
AP English
AP Gov’t
AP Biology
Honors Physics
Study Resources 4
Leadership II
This leaves me one more class to take…I want to take either AP Chemistry (rigorous and looks good on my transcript) or Photography II (to show consistency and mental break). My counselor said that an average senior in my VERY competitive takes 3 APs, which means I am taking one class more than an average senior. But, I don’t want to be overwhelmed with too many APs and am worried that I will not handle a very heavy course with AP Chemistry. I am interested in science, so I thought that 3 science classes in one year would be okay. What is your opinion? Should I take AP Chemistyr or Photography II?

I took 4 AP's, except I took Bio in Junior year so the fourth AP was Physics. Calc BC and Gov shouldn't be too bad. Bio is a lot of memorization but it's fun for a science-y person, English is a lot of essays and was my least favorite class in high school. Chem isn't too bad until you get to Organic. Remember that since it's senior year, your grades won't matter as much. So I say go for it. You've got 2 blow-off classes already.

The reason I don't want to take AP chemistry because I know the teacher who teaches it. I have her in my honors class this year, and it is painfully boring! I can't stand her at all! I don't know how I will survive in her class next year.
