Are these good starting scores??

<p>Ok so I am working with an SAT/ACT tutor to help me bring up my scores, and she had me take an practice SAT test without studying at all, and I got the following scores:</p>

<p>Math 580
Critical Reading 650
Writing (without the essay) 620</p>

<p>I really want to go Ivy League, so if I study hard do you think I can bring these scores up enough to do that? For not having studied at all, how are these scores?? Thanks!</p>

<p>First, ask yourself why you want to go to the Ivy League. </p>

<p>Those scores are a decent starting ground. I had a 183 PSAT (no prep) and got 2300 eventually (was scoring mid-2300s on practice tests near the end).</p>

<p>Definitely, I started at about 1700 and have recently scored perfect on my practice tests.</p>
