SAT Score... good enough?

I took the SAT for the first time. I did not study at all and I took it 2 days after finishing my sophomore year. I am wondering whether or not my scores are strong enough for the Ivy Leagues. I am also wondering if you have any suggestions for how to improve my scores in the future.

Critical Reading: 670 (92%)
Math: 710 (94%)
Writing: 710 (96%)
Multiple Choice: 68 (score range 20-80)
Essay: 10 (score range 2-12)

Overall, it is a 2090 out of 2400.

It’s a good score, but getting a 2200+ is where you can generally feel strong about it for the Ivy Leagues. The best thing you can do is practice from the Blue Book to improve your score. Good luck (you’re almost there)! :)

Thank you! Should I consider getting an SAT tutor or taking an SAT class, or should I center my focus on the review books?

Whatever works for you. I know some people that used tutoring - but I personally find review books less expensive and more free. But if you do choose to use review books, make sure you’re self motivated and study for at least 1 or 2 hours a day at least a month prior to the test. That’s a great score for not studying at all. You have a lot of potential, and should explore that fully by studying for your next one. 2250+ should be your goal if you’re aiming for the Ivies.
