Are these in the works at Bama & T-town?

Bryant Denny Stadium Ground-Level Market? When I was in Bryant Denny Stadium about 6 weeks ago, there was an area (in the food area) that was all blocked with plastic. I wonder if this is what is going in that area?

Is this going to happen? (BTW…after going to this link…click on the PDF link…easier to enlarge to read what this is.)

Here’s another architect’s idea (with a video)

it looks like this outdoor amphitheater is being proposed somewhere along the river? I’m reading that T-Town has been developing a Riverwalk, which is now in its 3rd phase?

And we’ve seen these before for Shelby Science & Engineering Complex

I could see the market area opening in Bryant Denny. I know local organizations run many of the concession stands though, so I don’t know how this will affect that. Also, I wonder if people in the student section will be allowed access (our section is currently fenced off from the rest of the stadium). I know the amphitheater is being built as students have been sent surveys about what acts should perform there. It’s nice to see something being built on that part of the river.

Very cool!

Would the amphitheater be walking distance for students? If not, it would be nice if they would run shuttles when there are concerts there.

^
Yes and no- the construction site is only around half a mile from the Ridgecrest complex (along the Riverwalk) but a good chunk of that walk is on unpaved grass on the side of a major road.

For what it’s worth, the amphitheater’s site is located at http://www.tuscaloosaamphitheater.com/

*The amphitheater, just west of the Lurleen Wallace bridges and backing up to the Black Warrior River… *

It’s too soon to know whether Bama would arrange Crimson Ride buses to go there on concert nights. It might be something they would consider or they might think that they don’t have the buses to transport that many kids. It might be something that Bama would need to charge for since it would involve paying the drivers over-time.

Frankly, most students will have friends/suitemates with cars, so it’s unlikely someone who wanted to go wouldn’t be able to snag a ride.
