Are these okay ECs?

<p>I'm a 10th grade student in India. I really want to go to college in the US, especially as I'm an American citizen and I miss the place a lot :(
Anyways, during my 9th and 10th grades, I got really caught up in academics and didn't give myself enough time for extracurriculars. (I got really good grades, but as I said, minimal ECs.) I've been looking through a few ECs of other students, even Indian ones, and I feel so small compared to them! I mean, their lists are huge!
Right now, at least, I've got:</p>

<p>1)Carnatic Music (learning it since I was 6 - lots of awards in middle school, but in high school, nothing. I plan to participate in some more next year, though.)
2)Piano (Did it until 3rd grade at the Trinity Institute of Music, and then I stopped)
3)Grand master in Abacus (this is probably my greatest qualification. However, I passed the exam in middle school, so I don't know whether it will be counted)
4)I love writing and I'm going to send some articles to some newspapers.
5)I also love Table Tennis, swimming, and badminton, but I play them casually, as my school takes ZERO initiative to organize or participate in any kind of competition.
6)Next year, I'm going to participate in a couple of MUNs (Model United Nations)
7)Community service (I'm GOING to do a lot of it, because I plan on doing the IB Diploma next year)
8)CAS in IB (Surely colleges count that?)</p>

<p>And lastly, I've won a couple of awards. I'm not asking you to chance me or anything, but am I good enough to get in, say to Penn State or Rutgers? (I'm really good at studies, top 1% in my school, a CGPA of 10, and a 'Scholar Badge' holder; Also, when I took a practice ACT I got a comp. score of 35 and a writing score of 11)
Thank you for any answers! I really hate feeling so inferior! :(</p>

<p>I plan to do Pre Med and major in Chemistry/Biochemistry…in the Eberly College of Science (Penn State) or at the School of Arts and Sciences (Rutgers). But if I have a chance at any other university, please do tell.</p>

<p>I can put you in touch with another American-Indian from the South (Carnatic, I’m guessed). He did the IB as well. Maybe you both could talk.</p>

<p>Oh, really? Is he in college? That’s sounds like a good idea :)</p>

<p>Nothing you did before high school (i.e abacus or piano) will count. </p>

<p>However, with your academics you should be okay for Penn State or Rutgers even with few ECs.</p>

<p>Leah, you’re becoming scarily active throughout CC. Especially HSL.</p>

<p>It’s even scaring me. </p>

<p>It’s junior year burnout. I just don’t wannnaa study.</p>
