Are these subject test scores good enough for a top 20 college

Math2: 780
Physics: 720
Bio-e: 710
Chem: 700

Yes…but it kinda depends on the percentile you scored in.

i was 85th for math 2 and bio-e

i just got physics and chem today

I’m actually shocked. I haven’t taken chem in 2 years. I scored a 480 on a practice test the night before

i had to guess a lot on physics too

schools are

Yale, Duke, Brown, Cornell in the top 20

bump

Yes, I’ve often heard that a benchmark for Ivys is 700 & over.
Great scores!

are you sure about that fact ELY?

hmm i think u have to get over 750s in order to get into ivies but it’s not like a “must” policy. i got a 800 math 2, 760 physics, and 740 and i’m applying to a couple of ivies. it really depends on ur SAT1 and application materials–essays…

You’ve heard wrong. Very wrong.

Since most will only officially count 2, you’ll have a 750 average for the 2 which is acceptable if everything else is stellar, but won’t bowl any ivy over. It’s my guess is that probably half of successful applicants have an SATII average very close to 8O0.

Remember, SATIIs are taken by a self selected pool applying to mostly elite colleges and there are TONS of 800s scored. On many, a 700 barely puts you in the top 40%.

what do you mean by “officially count”

also “barely puts you in the top 40%”

my Chem SAT puts me in the top 1/3 (33%)…
