My daughter applied mid november. The school sent in her transcripts before Thanksgiving. The first week in December she got a letter from admissions saying that they still needed her transcripts. When I called I was told they were really behind and to check back. I did a couple of times and was finally told to fax a transcript to them. As long as it was there by the 15th, she would still be early action. So guidance faxed it on the 11th. Well, finally she went on chat tonight and was told her app was still not complete but they had a lot to still process AND they do not take faxes. Should we just wait and see? Can they really be that far behind or should we send in another one by mail? She definitely would be out for early action and we read that you have a better shot at a scholarship if you apply early. Has anyone else waited this long to be processed? Do you know if she could still get a scholarship in regular decision? I wish we would have just driven it there ourselves. We still might. Thanks for any help. It's quite frustrating not even knowing if it is there or not.

I have heard that the admissions office falls behind every year, particularly around this time. I would try to be patient and just wait, and perhaps call once a week to just confirm. Frustrating, I know!

Thanks!!!

for two reasons:
- reduce your anxiety;
- certainty that the transcript was received.

I would also recommend including a cover sheet in which you explain that the transcript was faxed in as instructed on [date] but as the application still is considered incomplete, you wanted to be sure it was now complete.

Ok, can you believe this!? I finally talked to admissions and they told me that D’s transcript still wasn’t there. However, they DO have the letters of rec that were sent in the SAME envelope! The envelope was actually stamped “official transcript”. They also have no record of the faxed transcript (they do take them for high school students). We have refaxed them and confirmed their arrival, but now of course she is WAY behind the EA deadline. We were hoping for scholarships! Her guidance couselor will be talking to an official in the admissions office and hopefully they can figure out what happenned and not hold it against her. I just hope all the money isn’t gone. It’s enough to make me think she isn’t meant to attend UConn. And she won’t if the money isn’t there, because we are out of state. It’s never easy, is it?

I’m sorry it has been so frustrating to you. I hope you don’t take this as a reflection of the school. Hopefully, the admissions office WILL realize that it was their fault, and still consider your daughter for EA and the appropriate scholarships.
