I was just wondering because there is this school in texas named University of Houston: DOWNTOWN which is the second largest university out of the University of Houston branches.

I dont really do well on tests..and im afraid that i wont be able to get a good enough score on ACT/SAT in time to apply to schools (im a senior)

Of the schools that don't require the ACT/SAT, most are really bad, but some are really good, quirky schools that don't believe the SAT accurately shows them anything.

Note to anyone who was referring to me when they posted all the good schools that don't require SATs/ACTs: I only said most, not all. And most are bad. However, there are definitely good schools (mostly LACs) that don't ask for them.

This is a bona fide case of someone asking the wrong question. By CC standards, MOST schools are mediocre at best. Furthermore, I will assume for simplicity that "bad schools" are considered not prestigious. (I know CCers) The better to question to ask is "If we were to compare SAT/ACT requiring schools to non-SAT/ACT requiring schools, which pool would be considered 'worse'?" I would say without a doubt the group that does not require SAT/ACT. However, that is not to say there aren't some top schools that dont require these tests, but don't limit yourself (SAT/ACT is a MUST for ANY respectable state school). An intellegent person like you should (assuming you apply yourself) do decently on these tests.
