Are we allowed to share and elaborate on college essays on the forums? I would like to share mine and get people’s opinions on it. Thanks!
If you share there is always the possibility that someone will copy it and use it in their application.

There is a College Essays section on CC. Be careful of who you share your essay with. I recommend only sharing it with recognized posters.

@AmbitiousKid1987 I’ll take a look at it if you trust me to. I don’t even know what schools you’re applying to, but I can tell you right now I already have my essays written and they are very much personalized and tailored to my experiences with the specific schools I’m applying to. I have no intent of using someone else’s. Not to boast, but I think mine are pretty solid, haha.
I also completely understand if you’re skeptical of me.

I would be willing to read it (send it via PM, NOT via thread post). I graduated HS in 2015 and am a current student at the University of Michigan.
People do share them on CC but in all honesty I think the best thing to do is ask a trusted English teacher at your HS to read it over for you.
