those were the days…before high school and college and before life got complicated.

everthing seemed much more simpler in the past. I remember when people used maps instead of GPS.

I still remember the first time my family ever got a computer. It was probably also the first time I ever used the internet. It was a Gateway with Windows 98. I loved using that “maze” screensaver as the computer’s screensaver. The internet used to be so freakin’ slow back then.

OMG, me too! I swear I would stare at that 3-D maze thing for hours, like when it flipped upside down, changed in to different cool swirly designs (were they fractals perhaps?). It was all so exhilarating…but then I got a newer version of Windows and it just vanished from the screensaver options. I tried switching over to Pipes, but it just wasn’t the same. :(

I never liked the “Pipes” screensaver. I always found it too…confusing. But that “maze” screensaver had to be the reason why it took us a long time to switch to a newer version of Windows (we never had Windows 2000; we switched right over to Windows XP) because I REFUSED to get rid of that “maze”. Hahaha. :P

I really want to say I’m a 90s kid, but sometimes I feel like I’m not truly one. I only remember around 50% of those lists… sometimes around 75%… '93 representin?

eta: omg oregon trails!! <3

Does anybody remember the show Bug Juice. It used to come on the Disney Channel.

Bug Juice doesn’t come in a jar. Bug juice comes from who you are! =D

^ Yes!

I forgot about that show!

Any one remember the nickelodeon challenge/game shows? One was an adventure game (obstacle courses, etc) and the Double Dare shows?

Bug Juice. =]

Corey, are you referring to Legends of the Hidden Temple that use to come on Nick?

I LOVED Bug Juice. Made me want to go to camp during the summer. I used to watch it every summer on Disney Channel. Last I saw it was 5 years ago.

Does anyone remember this game show called Off the Wall?

^ What chanell was it one… Maybe.

Did any of you watch Wild and Crazy Kids on Nickalodeon? (Wow, looking back that sounds like the name of a horrible porno.)

^^^Hahaha. I think I watched some episodes of Wild & Crazy Kids. Off the Wall was shown on Disney Channel from '98-'00. I think the host had crazy hair or something. The show was similar to Double Dare 2000. In fact, VERY similar.

I remember when nobody had a cell phone to text with and we all had to do this thing called “communication”. I remember when Pokemon was the hip new fad. I remember when Left Eye from TLC died and everyone thought it was a tragedy. I remember when the internet started becoming popular.

^^^Absolutely remember all that. I also remember when Aaliyah died and hearing it all over CNN. I also remember being a kid in the 90s and playing tag or hide-and-seek outside in the neighborhood with friends during warm summer evenings/nights. There were no worries at all. Just kids being kids. I feel sorry for today’s kids because the majority of them can’t play outside, esp. at night, without parents worrying about sex offenders kidnapping their kids. It’s so sad.

By the way, did anyone else used to watch morning shows on KPBS?

I would still watch every episode of Boy Meets World. :)

Guys: you’re lying if you say you didn’t watch Dragon Ball Z

Nick News with Linda Ellerbee DID NOT END!!! Of all the shows for them to continue, this is the one. Sunday nights on Nick it comes on and it repeats Monday morning at 6 a.m. I know this because I watch Nick@Night before I go to sleep and when I wake up for school on Mondays, Nick News is on with recent events. Its horrible. Whoever came up with that idea should executed!

And who remembers the “Hooked on Phonics” commercials every 5 minutes?
