Hello, I am an incoming freshman who has a very very bad enrollment date (sept 3). Since Chem 6a is now beyond full, I was thinking about replacing it with psychology to get one of my PofC's covered. However, I just found out that Psychology 1 is full, and I am wondering if I am allowed to just skip the intro class and start with Psych 2 or psych 6. This also goes for other Humanities/Social science subjects. Thanks!

look up the prerequisites for the course in the course catalog. if you have fulfilled the prerequisites (or it has none), you can take the class

i heard that they’re going to open more spots for chem 6a and every freshman who needs to take it is most likely gonna get into the class. not with the best teacher of course, but at least you’ll get the units.

try calling the chem department and asking if they are going to open classes

thanks happyhappy!
and that would be awesome if they did, but I have a gut feeling that they wont ><

I feel like they would because it was full before two days of registration times were even open.

get on the shortest waitlist ASAP! well, shortest… they’re all double digits by now probably.

My counselor told me that Chem dept will most likely open more sections soon b/c of the huge floods in the waitlists, and I am advising all my friends (and freshmen in general) to get on the waitlist if you dropped it earlier.
