We aren't. For any reason what so ever. We can't even have them on campus.

Are your books bound or digital? Our books are physical bound textbooks.

We aren't. For any reason what so ever. We can't even have them on campus.

Are your books bound or digital? Our books are physical bound textbooks.

No, unless you have an IEP filled out and it is approved by the EC/ESL director. There are a few kids in my school who have to learn by seeing pictures/models/translations because of limited English proficiency or they are in the EC class. But that’s good because people would definitely try to steal and sell my cheap Compaq if they had the opportunity.

My books are physically bound.

People can definitely bring their laptops to work on stuff, but if we use laptops as a class then they are provided by the school.

Textbooks are all physically bound (though there are online versions of some).

We are not allowed to have them on campus, but some teachers will let you use them during class for notes and stuff.

I can use my laptop in pretty much all of my classes (except one at the local city college) and I choose to do so in all but one because I can take notes way faster, have better notes, and entertain myself in boring classes.

All of our textbooks are hard copies.

in my school, you can use laptops to any/all classes you want.
Next school year, my school is adopting a 1:1 policy where every student must carry a laptop at all times to reduce paper use.
We’ll see how that works… :P

We don’t have an official policy, but I use my laptops in my classes to take notes. Some of my friends do too. Students don’t have internet access yet, and most textbooks are online, but there are enough paper copies for all students.

no laptops, physical textbooks

No laptops allowed on campus.

My school provided laptops to everyone in the school, so we use them for almost everything. We are so much less productive, though, it is really hard to believe. I guarantee that our standardized test scores drop as a whole. I guess it has been great for me though, I can read books on there and it is easier to communicate with all the people in my extracurriculars. When the internet goes down, though (about once a day), we sit there doing nothing, waiting for it to come back on.

I guess you could brign them. Most teachers wouldn’t let you use them cuz hen you would just play games instead of pay attention.
And yours would get stolen.
Silly rich kids. lol @ bringing laptops to school.
My school is mad ghetto. the rich kids buying weed to act hardcore got nothin on the kids here. And you can always go 15 min down the road to a school where 4 kids were knifed in the past month. =]
But dont get too scared of kids who stab others cuz I know one guy who is really mad nice but someone talked about his mom. Other than that this kid is sooooo nice. He freakin took care of baby rabbits when their mom abandoned them.

Our school went 1:1 with iPads this year, so that’s what we all use (not exactly laptops, but similar). It’s going really well so far. Our principal is the man.

Yes, you can bring laptops to my school, and use them during class. You can even check laptops out from the media center if you wish.

Yep, all day, everyday. hay hay. The teachers aren’t too strict about technology use at my school. Some even allow us to use our phones, too.

My school allows laptops outside of class. During class, it kind of depends on the teacher. All the teachers I’ve had are cool with laptops during class.

@darkwalrus: I think if you came to my school, you would think you were in a prison. It’s so ghetto. EVERYDAY you will here someone yell "Free my n**** _(Insert ghetto name of choice) and there’s a few pregnant people in every class.

We’re actually required to bring our laptops every day. If we don’t have our laptops one day and have to use them that day, we’re fined Private school… We don’t use them in every class, though, so laptops can be really useful sometimes but just ridiculous other times. Our books are all hard-copy, so we just use our laptops for programming class, projects, occasionally for math, and some other classes for notes.
